BDTA unveils speaker line up for Showcase 2011
Seminar and lecture programme revealed for dental conference
The British Dental Trade Association has announced the lecture and seminar programme for the forthcoming Showcase 2011 to be held at Birmingham’s NEC this autumn.
Kevin Lewis from Dental Protection will be among the speakers hosting seminars throughout the conference that will take place from 20-22 October. The Dental Protection seminars on legal and ethical issues are scheduled for 11am and 12.30pm on Saturday with W&H hosting disinfection and decontamination seminars at 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm on Thursday. On Friday First for Medical Training will then present three seminars on medical emergencies at 10.30am, 12pm and 1.30pm.
Over the three days of Showcase there will also be four lectures starting with Dr Wendy Turner from Oral B on Thursday at 10am speaking on ’Working Smarter: Combining new innovations for optimal outcomes in periodontal maintenance patients’. Friday will see two lectures, firstly the BACD’s James Goolnik will present a talk entitled ’Naked Dentistry: Shrug off the white coat of the past and embrace the future’ and then Matt Perkins from the BSDHT will present ’Floss or die? Biofilms, babies and bypasses’. On Friday, the final presentation of the event will then see Larry Browne from the ADI talk about ’Teamwork and planning for implant placement’.
