IDHA winter conference
November event will take place at Carton House in Maynooth
The Irish Dental Hygienist Association’s (IDHA) Annual Winter Scientific Conference will be held at Carton House in Maynooth, Co Kildare, on Saturday 1 November.
The main programme of lectures will see seven speakers appearing alongside a parallel programme of six workshops. Sharon Curtin will open the programme with a talk on smoking cessation and understanding the process of change before Professor Kiersten Warrer takes to the stage to talk about implant maintenance.
Dr Mairead Harding will then step up to talk about fluoride and then Dr Grace Kelly will present a talk on the changing face of oral care for older people Dr Caroline McCarthy will then talk about medical emergencies in the dental surgery before Dr Richard Lee Kin will cover dental records, and Dr Ronan Allen will look at the maintenance of ailing implants and anti-infective treatment.
The parallel workshops will include Dr Caroline McCarthy and Dr Paul Brady covering CPR for the healthcare provider, Prof Kiersten Warrer looking at implants and Dr Richard Lee Kin presenting a workshop entitled ‘Furcations or Frustrations?’
