Oral health team presented with award
The team behind an innovative oral health project based at Dublin Dental University Hospital has received an award for its research into dental services for people with disabilities.
Dr Caoimhin Mac Giolla Phadraig of the Project SMILE Ireland team received the award for Open Access Online Research in Primary Care from Tony O’Brien, director general of the HSE.
The SMILE team, which is looking into how dental services for people with disabilities in Ireland can be improved, also includes Prof June Nunn, Dr Alison Dougall, Dr Jacinta McLoughlin, Dr Suzanne Guerin and Dr Eunan O’Neill.
