RCSI award for US professor

An American paediatric dentist who is currently completing a scholarship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) has been awarded the college’s highest honour.

Professor Jeffrey Dean, professor of pediatric dentistry and professor of orthodontics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry has been awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Dentistry at the RCSI. He received the honour during the ASM that took place in Dublin at the end of October.

During the meeting, Prof Dean presented the bi-annual Sheridan Lecture to an audience that included 200 of his compatriots and more than 200 Irish dental practitioners.

Prof Dean is currently working at the RCSI as a Fulbright Scholar.
