Dunmurry dentist’s Dentaid trip

Northern Irish dentist Aisling Byers is heading off to Uganda with dental charity Dentaid in March to provide much needed dental care.

The Dunmurry Dental Practice dentist will be in the east African country for two weeks providing essential treatment and prevention advice to local villages as well as a children’s and adult prison.

Aisling, who graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2009, said: “Many of us take for granted that if we have a toothache we can phone our dentist and be seen relatively quickly. That is a luxury the people of Uganda simply do not have.”
